Can I use Webflow's Client Billing in Africa?

Webflow's Client Billing enables you to pass the Site Plan fee directly to your client, and potentially make a profit from it. However, for Client Billing to work in your country, it needs to be supported by Stripe, which many African countries aren't, but no worries - there are workarounds!

First you need to check if your country is supported by stripe, you can check that on stripe.com/global [↗].

What if your country isn't supported by Stripe?

If your country is not supported - sorry, you won't be able to utilise Webflow's Client Billing.

If your country is supported by Stripe?

When you have checked so your country is supported by Stripe, you can head over to your Webflow profile and go to Account Settings - Billing Tools  [↗] and select your country.

My country is supported by Stripe, but I can't find my country under Billing Tools.

Even though your country can be listed as a supported country by Stripe, new countries are being added to Stripe's support regularly.

When a new country is added, Webflow needs to integrate the new country into our system as well. At the moment, if your country not appear in the list of countries that show up when you try to set up a client billing account, then it means that Webflow has not yet integrated it into our client billing setup.

Workaround to get Webflows's Client Billing

As a workaround, while Webflow is still adding all the countries to Client Billing, you can check out Stripe Atlas [↗] as it lets anyone create an internet business anywhere. They do this by allowing you to incorporate a U.S. company and quickly set up a U.S. bank account.

If Stripe Atlas isn't an option for you

A second workaround would be to charge your client for the Site Plan fee outside of Webflow. This would enable you to create your own invoices and use whichever payment processor or currency that works best for your business.
